To ensure wild horse populations remain stable and sustainable in the American West, thousands of horses are captured each year and trained, sold, or put out to pasture. Some end up in the "Wild Horse Inmate Program," through which inmates at the East Canon Correctional Complex (East Canon, CO) learn the methods of horse whisperers to tame and train the horses for adoption. This DVD traces the stories of the horses and the inmates, intertwining their parallel fates and their mutual struggle towards rehabilitation. Shot in the rugged foothills of southern Colorado, this captivating film takes viewers on an intimate and uplifting journey of freedom, discipline, and redemption.
