Accelerated global warming has caused the Earth's upper and lower atmospheres to separate and the resulting friction generates powerful tornadoes and deadly electrical storms. Similar to the red spot on Jupiter, a giant jet-stream vortex has centered over Manhattan. Several swarming tornadoes manifest from the vortex and descend on the city. The twisters cut a path of destruction so devastating and unpredictable it sends New York into frenzy.
